Rodney Wims

Owner & Jeweler

In 1989 I graduated from Trenton Jewelry School and started working in my parents store. I worked for them for 10 years in sales and as their bench jeweler. As their jeweler, I worked on the stores jewelry as well as taking in repairs from customers. I went on to graduate from New Approach Jewelry School. This was a much more advanced school that gave me the opportunity to do more complex work. I began to really excel and loved working with jewelry more and more.

In 1999 I moved into the Gold & Diamond Outlet which my father had purchased. I later bought the business from him in 2004. It was a dream come true. I was on my own now and knew that I would have to work extremely hard to give every customer an experience that will make them want to come back. Trust and honesty is what I promised, and that's what I was going provide. In 2005 I purchased the building where the Gold & Diamond Outlet is in. This gave me the security of knowing that my business would never have to move and would be here for years to come.

The investment of computer systems, a Roflin laser welder, Meji jewelry microscopes and other new state of the art tools, gave me the ability to work on jewelry that most jewelers could not. This has lead to more and more business that keeps me so busy today.

I have had a lot of help through the years from my family. Every morning, I wake up before my alarm goes off. Why? Because I love what I do. I look forward to getting to the store and sitting at my bench to see what I can create to make someone happy. The look on their faces is always priceless!
